First Sephora Haul!

So I went to Gurney Paragon right after my finals, and guess what?
Another unexpected HAUL! I burnt my purse so so badly this time.

Anyway, this is my first official venture INTO Sephora. I went there last few weeks ago, but it was almost closing time and the guard didn't let me in
(I mean, do they even want to do business?
Closing time was 10pm but by 9.45 the shop entrance was halfway closed already)

This time, I finally entered Sephora successfully! There was a plethora of beauty stuff in Sephora and so many new stuff I've never seen before.

It was literally a beauty heaven. *flower petals falling*

I started dreaming.

If only I'm a millionaire.
Or everything is free of charge.
Or money falls from the sky.

I could spend my WHOLE DAY just browsing through stuffs in Sephora.  *eyes twinkling*

Super super excited while I was in Sephora! I was literally controlling myself not to buy anything while getting tempted by all the colors when I was swatching them! (Hey, it doesn't look as easy as it seems!)

At the end of the day, I walked out of Sephora.. with a bunch of stuff. >_<

A quick view of what I got from Sephora~
I think you now know what burnt my money away, but hold your horses!

Upon entering Sephora, I told myself I was going to see and swatch some stuffs FOR FUN ONLY. NOT GONNA BUY ANYTHINGGGG.. and failed. *sigh*

Oh well, the first thing that caught my eye was the Urban Decay counter (which was literally right at the entrance) and I decided to walk past it because I know the Urban Decay Naked Palettes are expensive (RM180++).

Then I saw the NYX counter! Was immediately reminded of the NYX Face Awards that I watched on Youtube. So many pretty stuff by NYX, especially their lip products! So I went into swatching mode. This is also my first time swatching publicly in a store. At the beginning I felt quite embarrassed because I wasn't used to it, but after brain-washing myself a little bit then I just went on and unleash the full potential of my hands!! Mwahahah.

So, after swatching almost 20 lip products, what caught my eye was the NYX Matte Lipstick in the color Angel (MLS13). It's the perfect shade for my mum. My mum only use lipstick, she doesn't put on makeup frequently.  It glides on smoothly with great color payoff.
Unfortunately, the matte lipstick was sold out!! What a bummer. The others were still there, only the Angel one sold out. This proves that I have an eye for nice lipsticks! :P

Nevermind that, I went on swatching until the Lip Gloss section, and I was totally sucked in by the NYX Glam Gloss Aqua Luxe (GLG 03) Beat Goes On

It's a golden lip gloss with shimmer and glitters on it,
it caught my eye instantly and I was like
"I MUST BUY THIS!!"

The next thing is the NYX Glam Shadow Stick in the color Diamond (GSS08).
It is a pretty white shimmer stick which I can use to brighten up the inner corner of my eyes and also my undereyes! My first eye brightening stick :D

Maybe it can also be used as a highlighter, who knows? It came in a retractable stick without the need to sharpen it, which is one of the reason I bought it, for its convenience!

I'm a super lazy bum. *where is my award already?!*

I was holding the NYX Glam Gloss and Glam Shadow Stick when the salesgirl told me that there was an ongoing promotion. I hesitated a while (of course) and then .. my shopping spree started! Holy cow, the burst of adrenaline drove me to the Urban Decay counter and I contemplated whether to buy the Naked 3 ...

In the end? I bought it anyway :P *what do you expect from me??*

Then I went to the cashier .. another major discovery! I found out that I need to buy a SEPHORA EYELINER product actually (and also reach RM120 at the same time) in order to get the free gifts. =_=
The consequences of being greedy! I need to stop getting blinded by makeup already!

It was a good chance to put back the Naked 3 Palette, but my hands wouldn't let it go.

In the end I went and picked an eyeliner instead. Since I've already had a Gel Eyeliner by 3CE, I decided to buy something more liquid-y instead. The salesgirl showed various eyeliners for me - there were gel ones, liquid ones, and one very intriguing eyeliner.

It was the Smart Liner by Sephora! I mean, the shape
was so unique that it looked like a "gun" to me. *pow pow pow!*

Okay, now onto the free stuff!

The first thing they gave me is a mini pot of Sephora Glittering Eye Duo (Eye Glitter + Primer) in the color 03. Lavender

After fumbling with the pot itself, I finally get to open it!
You see, you can flip open the top of the cover, which reveals a pot of primer inside it.
When you rotate the cover (which is actually the body that contains the primer), it reveals the bottom pot and there are lots of purple glitters inside! Just like the color of soothing lavender :)

I'm sure this will come in handy if I'm gonna attend any parties!
Or maybe give my eyes a pop of purple glitter during night outings. ;D

Next on, another glitter product!

I was instantly attracted when the girl took it out. It was silver and shiny!! Already got me there.
She explained to me that it was an eyeliner as well as a mascara, I was wondering how can this be a mascara?

Okay, its name is Sephora Mascara & Eyeliner Argent Insolent Sassy Silver *wow that's a really long name*

I adore this so much even before using it, because the bottle is packed with a bunch of silver metallic glitters that shimmers through the tube itself. I love shiny silver metallic colors ..
Funfact : I love the cars in the movie "The Host", just because they are super shiny!

Of course I can't wear this onto the streets.
But at least I can play makeup with it at home! Mwahahah!

Since I bought stuff over RM200, we get a chance to take photos with a HUGE GIANT TRANSFORMER in the middle of Gurney Paragon! Weeeee!
We were so excited except for my oppa. Haha. In the end we snapped a photo and even got a CD cover! Unfortunately the photo was in the CD, and the CD is not with me :<

That's the story of my first Sephora Haul! Hehe

It was fun and super enjoyable, I can't stop hoping that one day I can just sit in Sephora whole day and just looking at beauty stuffs!

I need to start earning money so freaking bad now. :O

3CE Purchase - Some random stuff :)

I bought some 3CE products from another shop in Facebook months ago,
so this is another late post again!

Just some random stuff from 3CE anyway :)

Soft Square Sponge

Actually I wanted to order the "Finger sponge" but there was an error (In the product catalog of their blog, there were 2 products with the same name "Soft Square Sponge") so the seller sent me this normal sponge instead. The seller didn't realize the mistake as well. I was lazy to complain at that time so I just accepted it, since I didn't have any sponges to apply my newly bought foundation (at that time). SO this was definitely overpriced for a simple sponge, I think it costs around RM19? Brrrr.. I must be blind at that moment. Haha. Need to be more careful about product names next time.

Eyebrow Razor
The packaging came a little bit damaged (squashed?)
but the product was in a good condition. So it's okay :)

I also bought an eyebrow razor since I didn't have one, this was also overpriced for a normal razor. (I think I paid for the brand instead of the product itself, haha) Well, this costs around RM15, pretty expensive for a razor I would say.
I guess I was blinded by the 3CE craze at that moment. :P You know, girls.

Their facebook page is Stylenanda 3 Concept Eyes Malaysia
But they've stopped retailing and turned to agent and wholesale only.
Oh well, we can always buy from somewhere else :)
If you're interested in becoming an agent, you might wanna check them out! Who knows? :D

Qoo10 shopping - Laneige samples!

After using Laneige products for few months now,
I realized that I shouldn't just apply it on my face, I should use it on my neck too!

Onto the story of my sudden realization ...

The reason I realized this is that while looking at myself in the mirror,
I saw a stark difference between the skin tone of my face and my neck.
Holy moley! I look like my face got dipped into white powder!
My neck was so so dark to the extent of extreme weirdness radiating out from me.

Basically, it means that the White Plus Renew Original Essence did a very good job in whitening my face, but I didn't apply it to my neck, hence the difference.
So, I decided I need to buy more Original Essence!
But it was too pricey and I definitely don't want to repurchase the full-size product so soon.
I'm just a student! *whimpers*

I mean, I just used it for a few months now
(only on my face!) and the essence is already finishing up.
I can't blame it though, the bottle was small. I doubt that it can last me a year or over 6 months.

The bottle was opaque, so I can't really see how much essence is left inside.
I guess it's time for me to stock up my essence, so I decided to try the cheaper alternative i.e. BUYING SAMPLES!
I know it sounds stupid, samples are meant to be FREE, but somehow there were sellers selling sample-sized Laneige products on Qoo10 so I was like, why not I try it out?
It would be a good shopping experience anyway. :)

It came in a tiny package like this

And these are all my samples! Arranged very neatly though :P Weeeee!

A quick glance over what I bought this time round!

8 sample bottles of White Plus Renew Original Essence / 10ml (RM76.70)

6 sample tubes of Sun Block Supreme SPF 50+ PA+++ / 10ml (RM41.60)

Also, I bought a total of three Laneige New Cleansing Trial Kit (RM47.20),
which includes the Fresh Brightening Cleansing Oil
Multi Cleanser and Lip & Eye Remover Waterproof

It came in a very nice zip lock resealable transparent plastic bag containing all the three products arranged nicely, with a mini card behind it.

The mini card is really cute, but it's all in Korean, I can understand a little,
it's generally about what is included in the Cleansing Trial Kit.  ;)

The seller also gave me some samples! Yippee!
I don't know the function of these samples
but it looks like some sorta anti-aging samples. :)
Gotta research about it soon~

I'm satisfied with the purchase from this seller (White skin).
One thing I regret is that I forgot to ask the seller about the manufacturing/expiry date of the samples. Turns out the samples were either manufactured in year 2013 (Cleansing Trial Kit) or not stated at all.

I convinced myself that the products are still good to use ..
Will be more careful next time :X

*Reminder to self : Ask about the dates before buying anything! Stop being brainless! Ugh

Qoo10 shopping - Skin&Lab!

Sorry for the delays and everything,
I was really busy with my finals and also packing all the stuffs and balik kampung~
Now I'm finally back here, I can do everything that I dreamed about doing during my mental breakdown(s) in finals. Haha. FINALLY!!! I'M OUTTA PRISON

Okay, this is another "haul" post, guess what I bought from Qoo10 again?
Another sale that I can't resist!
The app reminded me of products that were on sale, and as usual, I found something new!

.
Be prepared ... Jjanggg!!
Skin&Lab Vitamin Cream Buy 3 Free 1 Promo!
If you buy 3 Vitamin creams, you will get a free gift!
I'm a sucker for beauty products promotions and free gifts :(
I received this around May, so it's a really late post again

As usual, I received my items in good condition and bubble-wrapped nicely :D

I ordered Vitamin Cream A, C and K, got a free Dr. Spot Clear Don't Worry Wrinkle Spot
and the seller was generous enough to give me a BOX of Skin&Lab samples!
This is not a new product, just something I really wanted to try out :P

The samples come packed neatly in a little box like this :

The little box taught me not to underestimate it .. because ..

OMGG!!

HOLY COW! LOOK AT ALL THESE STUFF INSIDE THIS MAGICAL BOX

There were LOTS OF SAMPLES inside!
I was super surprised how many samples were stuffed in a little box like this :O

Seriously I got so much samples .. Wondering how can I finish it?
Haha but it's really convenient for travelling purposes :)

This is one of the samples that intrigued me. Red serum
I wonder why is it named Red Serum :O

 4ever fre-C I wonder what it does?
Have to research a lil'bit about it soon

The vitamin cream samples they gave included all the vitamin creams from the same line!
Vitamin A, B, C, E, and K ~
Each of them have their own functions hehe

Now onto the main product of that I bought~! Hehe
So these vitamin creams are developed by Skin&Lab Dr. Vita Clinic
so that you can take care of your skin at home by using different combinations of vitamins.
That's a incredibly creative thing to do.
You can customize your own creams according to your needs.
It literally means everyone else can be their personal doctor for their own skin!
Seriously, as expected from Korea. *tsk tsk*

The first one is A Plus Lifting

The next one is C Plus Brightening~

And the third cream I bought is K Plus Red-X!

The reason I bought these three creams is because that it seems like if you mix different combinations of creams together, they give off different effects.
So, what can you expect from me?

Of course I chose the ultimate combination that will wipe off the dark circles from my face!
Supposedly, if I were to mix these 3 together, it would reduce my dark eye circles..
I certainly hope so!

Dr. Spot Clear Don't Worry Wrinkle Spot
This is the free gift I got from buying the 3 vitamin cream,
useful for me because I'm starting to have fine wrinkles already (at 21?!)

Until 30th June 2014, when you purchase this 3+1 promo, you will get a free gift of Vita Energy Toner & Mist! (130ml retail sized) which will get your skin ready for the vitamin creams.
So I assume you use the mist before applying the cream :)

I suppose they change the free gift once a month or something,
because I got the Don't Worry Wrinkle Spot instead.
Be sure to check the item details on Qoo10 so that you won't get a free gift that you wouldn't use :> always be a wise consumer hahah

Each Vitamin Cream costs about RM 38.50 and
the shipping fee is RM16.40 via Standard Registered Mail

I'm really pleased that the seller gave a lot of samples! The samples are super travel convenient. I would say the packaging for vitamin creams are different and they were really sturdy. It's not squishy washy that will break once you step on it.
(Of course I wouldn't step on it! But I doubt it will break because it felt super hard)
If you buy from SKIN&LAB on Qoo10, they even offer Free Gift Wrapping Service for 5 vitamin cream set purchase. Very considerate I would say.

Will post a review about it soon! Hehe.

Review - Laneige White Plus Renew Original Essence

I was raving and obsessed with Korean Skincare Routine few months back, and finally went onto a Laneige Splurge! Until today, I never regretted the splurge because after beginning my Korean Skincare Routine, my skin condition has definitely become improved and appears to be much more radiant than ever!

When I was young, I have darker skin tone compared to my friends because I went swimming a lot. I was just learning swimming from my dad, and we went to the pool quite often. It was my primary school days, I was dark and had a very horrible "aunty" hairstyle. I was born with extremely uncontrollable frizzy hair and in my primary school days, we have to cut our hair short, and one day I got something like a bob cut, which made my hairstyle worse, LITERALLY. I looked just like an auntie.

OR AN AFRICAN(?) LION WHO JUST ESCAPED FROM THE LIONESS' CLAWS =_=

That's me. But hey, now I'm the lioness .. RAWRR~~ :3

Okay enough rambling, so I think I've made my point that I have very dark skin tone during my younger days. After entering secondary school, my skin tone became brighter as I didn't swim that often already. However, my skin was still dull and I look like a piece of wood in the classroom. I looked like the wooden desks in my classroom. No kidding.

I didn't pay much attention to how I look during my schooldays. I even hesitated to wear contact lenses to school (actually it wasn't allowed, but teachers can't notice it anyway) and some of my friends wore even colored contact lenses to school. :O
I was like a caveman. Seriously.
I didn't dare to do anything, I'm super timid, and I was a total NERD
Study, study, study ... was everything I did back in secondary school.

I thought that caring for the skin starts only when you're old, but turns out it's totally wrong!
Aging starts even at age 20, and now I'm already 21
I know it didn't sound like a big deal, but I personally think that it's a big deal for a medical student who sleep late and have no "face-time" literally.

I didn't care about skincare stuffs all along, my mum always told me I should start taking care of my skin but I always ignored what she said about skincare (because I was too ignorant). I thought that skincare wasn't important ... until one day! I took a good look at myself in the mirror and I saw an old hag someone who has aged so much for a person who is only 21. Dammit! I look hideous! Of course I can't compare myself with those who are born with face deformities or those who are involved in accidents and have their face destroyed, but ... I'm ... I'm an old woman!! *sobs*

Alright! Moving on to the review! I'm gonna review about one product at a time, so that you guys can avoid getting entranced into sleep by my lengthy posts! :D

Today's review is gonna be about White Plus Renew Original Essence by Laneige~

Packaging :

It comes packaged in a box~

I like the metallic grey blue hue of the bottle,
it made it looked so high class (?) haha

It comes with a dropper design, which is more hygienic and convenient.
You can control the amount of serum according to your needs by dropping varying amounts serum onto your hand.

Ingredients:

My Verdict :

Pros :

  • The product comes in a very nice bottle design, it looked really modern and classy with the metallic-blue gradient hue. It comes with a pump like a dropper, which is more hygienic and easier to know how much of serum you want according to the number of drops.
  • Upon application, the texture was smooth and not sticky at all. The serum just glides onto my skin and absorbed really quickly. Pressing your face with your palm speeds up the absorption.
  • The product really whitens and brightens up my skin! Even my mum asked me why my skin looked brighter and healthier looking compared to the past. She even asked what products did I use for my face. My housemate said she noticed my face became much more radiant. Haha results proven :D
  • I did not experience any breakouts while using this product. It suits my skin and gives a smooth finish after being absorbed. Yayyy!!
  • It has a really pleasant smell as it contained fragrances, but the particular smell is in all Laneige products (I'm also using the White Plus Renew Skin Refiner and it smells the same). I guess it's Laneige own signature smell :P

Cons :

  • After my skin became brighter, during hot days my skin will become really red (more reddish compared to last time). Maybe it's because my skin became whiter, that's why the redness of my cheeks showed out even more. Or maybe my skin dullness covered the redness in the past, so now it became more noticeable, since my skin already became brighter :P
  • Sometimes my skin feels stingy around my lip area after applying, or I feel that my face is heating up .. or maybe it's just me? I don't know
  • In this few months of using it, my skin did became dry (I'm aware that whitening skincare products can dry up the skin) but I'm not sure whether if it's because of the essence or my cleanser (my cleanser tends to dries up the skin since it functions to fight sebum and acne)
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the results as it was not only me who noticed the difference.
It means that the difference is not subtle at all!
My mum, oppa, housemate and classmates all noticed a difference in my face!
I was overjoyed! :DDDD
I will definitely use this until I reach my desired skin tone *which is somewhere near a snowman's face* >:)

3CE on Facebook Shops!

Let me tell you a sad story .. that has a happy ending :3

A LONG LONG TIME AGO,
I wanted to buy products by 3 Concept Eyes.
It's a cosmetics line by Stylenanda in Korea,
positive reviews about them are everywhere and even celebrities are raving about them!
Whether if it's their clothes or cosmetics or whatsoever.
I seen many good reviews about their cosmetics 3 Concept Eyes, and it seems like they really comes with quality. However, for me, the products are considered high-end products because of their price! Dammit!

It was in US currency, basically everything just became x3! $ -> $$$
How I wish I can rub my purse and the money inside will just multiply by itself. *sigh*
Not to mention the shipping fee was lik OMG .. since they use EMS so it became even more expensive. And if I use EMS, most likely my parcel will be under customs detention :(

~~  Such a sad story *sniffles*  ~~

HOWEVER!!
As someone from 21st century, in order to combat my sadness,
I didn't wait for my prince to come, nor rubbing my purse waiting 财神 to magically appear.

I went onto a 3CE Haul on Facebook and bought the stuff from agents!
In this way, I can avoid customs detention and receive my stuff happily~
And complain if I don't receive them :P Keke

Hahaha happy ending.

So these are what I got! Hehe~

 Puchsia/Fuchsia matte Lip Stick (RM70)

It has some neat packaging over there *whistles*
I bought this because the color looked really nice on this model (don't know her name tho)

Her skin tone was slightly darker compared to the other photos.
I liked the way the lipstick color turned out.
It wasn't a very neon-ish color that will scare the shit out of people, at the same time,
it really suits a darker skin tone (from this photo) so I really hope I'd be able to pull it off!
*the power of advertising* :O

 Lip lacquer #showtime (RM70)

I was really eager to try out all kinds of lip products ever since my obsession started!
I have really pale lips since I'm slightly anemic,
my lips are always colorless and I looked like a patient instead of a doctor-to-be. =_=

Also, I watched so many Korean dramas and the recent one was You Who Came From The Stars, in which the actress Jeon Ji Hyun has various looks with different colored lipsticks!
It made her look pretty nonetheless,
but it gives her a fresh and the lips became the point of her look.
I chose #showtime because it was a vibrant reddish color with a little bit of peachy undertone.
(Sorry the color brightness was a little bit problematic, it turned out orange instead of red)
I was also curious about the product being a lip lacquer.
No idea what is it so I decided to try it out! :P *spoiled brat detected*

  Cream Blusher #New Pink (RM44)

I bought cream blusher since I've never tried this before (basically I've never tried any blusher)

Also because it's a really super cute pinkish blush! I love the shade it has on the model Park Sora. It is a cream-based blush, so it's easy to apply on your face.

Isn't she pretty? Of course the pink blush color too :P

Pink Kabuki Brush (RM 35)

The brush has this peachy coloured bristles and its even wrapped in plastic!
Super hygienic :D
It came with a really nice mini leather bag with some imprinted patterns on it,
it feels really durable! I hope it will be able to protect my delicate kabuki brush >.<

Square Hand Mirror - Black (RM39)

It has a simple design with the 3CE brand and logo printed at the back.
The wordings has a glossy finish while the mirror itself has a matte feeling to it,
a little bit like rubberized plastic.
The mirror felt really sturdy though,
but I will still try to avoid dropping it onto the ground. Haha.

Skin Tone Control Primer - Pure Violet (RM80)

This is a primer that comes with a skin tone control function. Which means that while applying primer, at the same time you can improve your skin tone! I have really dull skin so I needed something to give my face a little bit of vitality. Hehe.
I chose Pure Violet as it can control my redness and is for warm-toned skin.

Overall, I'm really satisfied of the purchase and since I bought from local agents, I don't have to worry about it not being delivered until my doorstep.
One of the bad things about ordering stuffs from overseas is that you need to keep tracking it and hope that the customs won't hold onto your parcels. Frankly, I was afraid (well, I'm a total paranoid freak when it comes to stuff I love) that I wouldn't get the items, so ordering things from local agents saves up all the hassle.

All of the items were received in good condition and I'm really glad I bought them!
Hehe. Will post reviews about them (hopefully soon enough)!

They have a online store themselves, but I ordered through Facebook pm because it's faster that way :P and I sometimes enjoy interactions with the seller themselves.
