So today
I’m going to post a review about Elianto Reveal Cleansing Oil!
I’ve started
using sunblock not long ago (I know I started waaaay too late =.=),
the beauty assistant at the
Laneige counter in Queensbay Mall told me about the need to cleanse your face
using cleansing oil even though you are just putting on sunblock.
According to
what she said, only using a cleanser to cleanse your face of the sunblock is
not enough, you will need to use cleansing oil to clean up your face whenever
you use a sunblock (No matter how low or high the SPF is :P). That’s a totally
new thing for me!
Basically everything is a new thing for me, I know nothing
about skincare 2 months ago o.o
Therefore,
TADAAAAAA! I bought Reveal Performance Cleansing Oil from Elianto!
It was an impulse
buying as I didn’t read any reviews about it before buying it, therefore I knew
nothing about it! Luckily it turned out well, but sometimes I find it hard to
remove the BB remainings near my eye sockets (Am I supposed to apply the BB
cushion even at the eyes? I saw some videos doing that so I did that as well :/
oh well)
Packaging :
As you can
see, the bottle is a see through, dark brownish-orangey color design.
Honestly, it was quite hard for me to read it as the black wordings blended too much with the dark brown color. And it contains fragrances, so those
with sensitive skin will really have to take note before buying this product.
Luckily, I have combination skin, and have no problems with fragrances.
The product
have a distinctive smell that was hard to describe. It wasn’t a super fruity scent,
nor floral, and definitely does not smell like any perfume. Doesn’t smell like
chemical either. If I were to really describe, I would say that it smell a
little bit like combination of citrus (maybe because of the vitamin C) and lots of oil.
Haha

My verdict:
Pros :
- They really included many different oils in this product, and I was really worried that I would break out originally because of all the oils (this is my first cleansing oil that I’ve EVER used), but fortunately, it did not cause any breakouts. I use this once at night, almost everyday.
- It is not harsh at all. Really a gentle cleanser. My skin felt soft, smooth and kinda moisturized after using it! If I didn't start my skincare routine right after washing off, I will keep on touching it .. mwahaha love the smooth feeling~
- Can’t comment about the antiwrinkle part as I don’t really have obvious wrinkles. I do have FINE LINES near my eyes when I smile. Is that normal or they are Level 1 wrinkles? I don’t know :X
- It comes with a pump which prevents spillovers and over-squeezing and stuff. Love pumps! So hygienic and convenient :P
Cons :
- Sometimes I have problem removing thick eye make up or even BB cream in the sockets of my eyes. This is definitely a drawback since I need to use an eye makeup remover to totally remove everything from my eye area ( I don’t want pimples to pop out in this area! It will be so obvious, really =_=) But massaging the oil into my face longer gives off a better and much cleaner result :D Hehee
- If I used the cleansing oil to clean up my eye area, it would make my eye blurry (it’s worse when my contact lenses are still on). I’m short-sighted, and when I massaged it around my eyes, it tend to get into my eyes and it felt like my sight got “smeared”. If it entered my right eye, my right eye will become more blurry compared to my left eye L it takes a while for it to go off, since I can’t really use water to wash my eyes, right?
- I had tried once using it to clean off my eye makeup (eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara) and it’s not really able to clean up all of them. My eyes looked like “bruised” as the cleansing oil was unable to wash off all of my black eyeliner. Since I massaged around my eyes, it made my eye sockets look black haha I look like some desperate girl crying after a breakup. You know, with black eyes and black lines running down on the face :<
Does it
really brighten up my face? I can’t confirm on the brightening effects, it may
be masked by my Laneige whitening effects :O but that’s a good thing right? At
least it does not further darken my
skin! HOHO
This is my
first cleansing oil and I’ve decided that from now on I will definitely include
cleansing oil in my skincare routine, just like the Korean 2-step beauty
cleansing routine. <3
The next cleansing oil I’m eager to try is the Laneige
Brightening Cleansing Oil! I’m basically a Laneige fan now, and I’m superrrr
eager to try out everything from Laneige. But my wallet is crying, sobs :’(
**This is an honest review and the products are bought using my own money. If it is sponsored, it will be mentioned at the beginning of the post :D but too bad I don't really deserve any sponsored products now cause I'm just a total newbie blogger. :/
