Review - Biotherm Aquasource Samples

Now, onto my review about samples I got from Biotherm! It comes together with 3 of them attached together, which is really nice of them because I won't be afraid of them going missing in my messy room! Hehe.

So the first one is the Biosource Tonifying Exfoliating Cleansing Gel, 2nd is Aquasource Instant Hydration Toning Lotion, and 3rd is the Aquasource Nuit High Density Hydrating Jelly. 

I used them according to their sequence, and they are only enough for 1 time usage. 

The cleansing gel works fine with me, it does clean up my face well, but I think that it felt just like a normal cleanser. 

Next on is the Toning Lotion. Before this "skincare obsession" started, I barely used any toner. All in my skincare routine was easy-peasy, there was only one anyway, a cleanser. 

I didn't even follow the usual simple routine like "Cleanser, Toner, Moisturiser",

All I had was a Melaleuca cleanser which my dad gave me 

(Sudden realization again : maybe I can do a separate review about it :O)

So when I saw a toner, I was like okay, let's see what it will do~

And after applying it, I felt that it was okay, 

honestly it did nothing much to my face haha since it was just a toner. 

But why add the word lotion behind it? I don't really get it, maybe it's a toner+lotion thing. :)

Finally I slathered the High Density Hydrating Jelly onto my face before going to sleep.

And this was the main main main MAIN one that I really would like to recommend to everyone.

At first I felt that it was quite thick, I think it was supposed to function like a sleeping mask. 

And it gave me a deep first impression because I remember that it was not white in colour .. It was something like bluish gel, which can sorta explain it's packaging. It's in blue, different from the others.

So I slept with it,

and the next morning my skin is wonderful! miraculously soft and supple ~ 

(I really wanted to say this out loud in a weird accent to emphasize it, dont ask me why, I'm just weird)

My skin had never been so soft .. 

unless I use the ePure Membranous Jelly mask (which I already ran out of)

I was really super satisfied with the effects of the hydrating jelly, 

after all, it is for HYDRATING purposes, right?

I really think that this product gives the best effect among the three samples I got.

It even made me considering buying one full sized hydrating jelly for myself.

But I think that I'll keep that for another time. Hehe. 

I'm more focused on brightening my skin now rather than hydrating it.

I was a little bit scared of getting moisturisers or sleeping masks because I was afraid that my T zone will become oilier and it will breakout on me :(

The other set of samples is Biotherm Homme T-Pur Intense.

The "sample-redeeming-story" is kinda funny and indeed a story with a "twist of fate"!

Now the story begins like this, that night before I applied for redemption of this sample, I was greedy and I wanted to apply for another sample of Biotherm Homme by using another person's name. Means I wanted to get two sets of this T-Pur. (I know, I'm greedy) 

At that moment I didn't realize Homme meant male, 

so .. I used my boyfriend's name to fill up the form. 

Right after submitting the form in the Biotherm homepage, I was thinking "he might not even know about this". Just when I was about to do an EVIL LAUGH, the website showed that I will be receiving a SMS notification shortly. 

And I DID. 

My boyfriend sms-ed me. HAHA. 

He said "Somebody is filling up forms again .. " and it was 2 a.m. that time :X 

I thought he was asleep! >.< 

Don't know why, I was quite embarassed at that moment, 

maybe because my greed is exposed *facepalm

But in the end, I realized I didn't even registered for the T-Pur myself, 

and turns out that I mixed it up with the registration for redemption of the Aquasource samples. 

Hahah! So in the end my boyfriend went and redeemed it instead, 

it was so funny cause he was the only male at the cosmetics section of the department store, and awkwardly he got the samples and shoved it to me instead.

I insisted that I registered for him but both of us knew that it was the greedy me. Teehee.

Well, anyway, what Biotherm gave was the T-Pur Intense Purifying Scruffing Facial Cleanser, Matifying Pore-Retightening Lotion and then the Extra-Matifying Moisturising Fresh Gel.

The Pore-Retightening Lotion really caught my eyes, because my boyfriend has bigger pores and oily skin, this may tighten up his pores and make them look smaller!

But he was never concerned about how he looked like, so he was like mehhh about the functions and stuff,

instead what caught his eyes was the word "Lotion"

He asked me, "Use lotion on the face?"

Hahah it was so funny cause before I researched about skincare, 

I also thought the same way. 

I thought lotions are only for the body, for the hands legs and those. All except face. 

Turns out that we use lotion for our face too :O 

Humans, really. Tsk tsk. What else can they not think of?
