My very first Beauty Box!

Today I'm gonna share something about my very FIRST BEAUTY BOX! Yes I've join into the beauty box army recently as I accidentally saw it while doing my "research" on skincare. Turns out it has already been popular in overseas for a long time, and Malaysia has also a few of their own beauty boxes! (Bag Of Love, The Lilac Box, Mivva etc)

Now the one I've bought is from Vanity Trove! At first I bought this is because it's customizable, which means that you can pick your own desired products and it will be delivered right to your doorstep! Isn't it tempting? :DD (Since other beauty boxes are not customisable, I was afraid of spending money and getting something I don't need)

I bought this on March actually, so this is one super overdue post! Sorry :/

I was impressed by the reviews about Vanity Trove and about their box design, 

it is designed to function like a mini drawer! You can store your whatever stuff inside and keep your room clean (I really need that :X)

This is how it looks like after opening the parcel. It looked really expensive, kinda reminds me of premium products packaging with its golden appearance.. One thing really like about the packaging is that it was wrapped tightly in clear plastic. Feels like you just bought a super new product and wanted to tear off everything outside!! *me tearing it off violently*

Maybe because this is my first beauty box, I was expecting something bigger, something more .. big (maybe I was hoping to get a full sized product that looked like full size :P And I did chose one but it came to my hands almost like a sample sized product). 

I chose the Skinz Eye Brightening Essence since I was running out of eye cream and saw that it was full-sized! I guess that I missed that it was only 30 mL. 

I'm still a newbie. :( 30mL is really mini sized.

I know that while choosing them they stated the size and everything, whether if its a sample or not, but I was hoping to get something bigger. I don't know, this is so gonna be a lesson for me to not be greedy .. but when my obsession comes there is no room for logical thinking >_<

Another thing I learnt about this beauty box is that what I get were mostly samples (it's okay) but they were manufactured like, 2 years ago? It was stated 2012 on some products and on some, there weren't even any dates or whatsoever on them. Maybe it's because they are samples. (Yeah let's save some printing toner :/)

I wished they let me know beforehand about the manufacturing/expiry date of these items, because I thought that I was able to keep them for a long time. 

Turns out that they might expire this year (I mean, it's already 2014!) 

and I will be forced to use them ASAP >:) good thing? bad thing?

It cost RM 50 per box, what I bought was the VanityTrove box which you can customize. It is a one time purchase so you can buy it anytime you run out of samples you want.

Something about me! :D

Hi everyone! So this will be my first post about my beauty obsession, 

which just started about 2 months ago~ :)

I'm a super newbie on skincare and makeup, and my mum was always saying my "girl hormones" come later compared to other girls. 

I have an obsession thingy, and when it starts, seriously! It's so serious that I even thought of attending support group and whats not. When I started to get obsessed about clothes, I bought so many until I can't even finish wearing them! Then it changed to heels which all of them are practically under my bed or outside my room, and then now, SKINCARE! and makeup :P

My dad gave me some cash to spend on my 21st birthday as a present, and I didn't know what to do about it when I stumbled across Korean Skincare Routine on Youtube! I was like, what?! I know Korean actresses skin are flawless and always glowing, but I thought it was because of makeup! Turns out it was because of their original skin is already good enough, and some of them don't even need that much makeup!

I seldom put on makeup as I don't really have hyperpigmentation, just a few scars now and then after the time of the month, and combination skin (oily on my T zone and dry on my cheeks & lip corners). 

Another reason I went googled about skincare is that I was looking at myself at the mirror the other day, 

and I was like OMGGGGG what happened to my face? 

Fine wrinkles/lines when I smile, lips cracking, extremely dry scaly skin surrounding my cheeks and lips!!! =_= I know I know, I didn't take care or anything, I don't have a balanced or detox whatever diet, I sleep LATE at night or I should say, EARLY at 5am, and my room is always in a mess just like my face :O

And I thought, maybe it's time! For another obsession! Hehe. It's a really severe and expensive obsession this time, bear with me! (I mean, I created a blog for this obsession! I can't believe what my fingers are doing now :OOO)

Okay, some background intro about me. I'm currently studying medicine and 

already halfway through the 2nd year 

(where I went through so many mental breakdowns and self reflectionssss 

each time I take an exam T_T)

I finally decided to create this blog since I bought so much stuff (Its really A LOT for a total beginner like me). It was also because I didn't want to waste the experience that I had about all the products I used, so I wanted to share out my personal experience on the products, and I hope that I can help my dear readers to find the ones that suits you the most! :D In the meantime, this can be my mini beauty diary ~~

I bought my products after reading so many reviews online and considering about the price and everything, I'm a total helluva researcher when it comes to buy stuff online. I compare between so many websites (even the shipping fee) and read many reviews from beauty blogs. (I know, I'm stingy)

Honestly, beauty blogs really helped me out a lot in finding my Holy Grail, as they would say. Hahah. I seldom buy things on impulse, but I'm the kind of "getting obsessed" girl for a long time .. And what happens is my wallet gets empty. (The money went ON to my face instead of into my stomach. Haha, u know, girls are like this!) So this is a way of appreciating the beauty community and contributing back to the them since it helped me out so much!
